Our NC Nano Wood Cleaner is a powerful specialist cleaner developed for thoroughly cleaning a wide range of interior and exterior timber surfaces.

Its fast-acting formulation penetrates and cleans more deeply than many conventional surface cleaners, helping remove dirt, weathering and discolouration from the timber.

The cleaner is also ideal for preparing bare timber before applying NC Nano Coating for Wood. Thorough preparation helps create a clean surface on which the protective treatment can perform at its best.

Before starting, please take the following practical information into account.

Do not mix NC Nano Wood Cleaner with other products and do not dilute it.

Lower temperatures may slow down the cleaning action. In cooler conditions, allow additional contact time where necessary.

Always test the product on a small, inconspicuous area first to check compatibility and assess the final appearance.

Step 1 – Always Test First

Before treating the entire surface, apply NC Nano Wood Cleaner to a small, inconspicuous test area.

Allow the test area to complete the full cleaning and rinsing process so that you can assess both compatibility and the resulting colour of the timber.

Step 2 – Apply the Wood Cleaner

Apply NC Nano Wood Cleaner undiluted using a low-pressure sprayer, trigger spray bottle or soft brush.

Apply the cleaner evenly across the timber surface.

Avoid allowing the cleaner to dry completely on the surface during the cleaning process.

Step 3 – Allow 10–15 Minutes to Work

Allow the cleaner to work for approximately 10–15 minutes.

Where necessary, gently agitate stubborn or heavily weathered areas using a soft brush or clean white non-abrasive pad.

Work carefully, particularly on softer timber species.

Step 4 – Rinse Thoroughly

Rinse the timber thoroughly with warm, clean water using appropriate pressure.

When cleaning softwood, use low pressure to minimise the risk of damaging or raising the wood fibres.

A pressure washer is not essential. The surface can also be rinsed using clean water from a bucket or hose, assisted where necessary with a soft brush or sponge.

Make sure all loosened dirt and cleaner residue is thoroughly removed.

Step 5 – Repeat if Necessary

For heavily weathered or contaminated timber, repeat the cleaning procedure where necessary.

After the final rinse, allow the timber to dry completely before applying any subsequent protective treatment.
