Our NC Nano Coating for Stone, Concrete & Tile helps protect almost any porous mineral surface against water, dirt, grease and oil, while also helping to reduce the conditions that encourage unwanted surface growth.

Treated surfaces benefit from excellent hydrophobic and oleophobic properties. The resulting low surface energy significantly reduces dirt adhesion and water absorption.

NC Nano Coating for Stone, Concrete & Tile can be used to impregnate and protect both existing and newly installed mineral substrates. Suitable surfaces include brick, masonry, mineral render, precast and cast concrete, calcium silicate brick and block, and natural stone.

Our customers use this nano coating on patios, paving slabs, exterior walls, natural stone, concrete floors, driveways and block paving.

This powerful penetrating treatment for concrete and stone is also ideal for protecting brick sheds and outbuildings, treating masonry and helping make concrete and exterior walls highly water repellent.

Preparation Is Essential

The first step towards achieving the best possible result is to clean the surface thoroughly. This is an essential part of the application process and should be carried out using our NC Nano Stone Cleaner.

This specialist cleaner penetrates deeper into porous mineral surfaces than many conventional surface cleaners, helping prepare the substrate correctly before applying the nano coating.

What About Glazed or Ceramic Tiles?

For glazed tiles, such as bathroom tiles, or glazed ceramic surfaces, use NC Nano Glass Cleaner followed by NC Nano Coating for Glass.

Why? Glazed surfaces have a glass-like, silica-based surface. This means the coating needs to bond with the glazed layer rather than the mineral material underneath, so our glass treatment system is the appropriate solution.

Get the Best Results in 6 Simple Steps

Before starting, please also take the following practical information into account.

Do not mix NC Nano Coating for Stone, Concrete & Tile with other products and do not dilute it. Lower temperatures will slow down the treatment and drying process, so allow additional time when applying the product in cooler conditions.

Always test the product on a small, inconspicuous area first to check the appearance and performance on the specific substrate.

Step 1 – Clean the Surface

Thoroughly clean the substrate first using our NC Nano Stone Cleaner.

This cleaner provides a deep clean, whereas many conventional cleaners mainly clean the surface. Correct preparation is essential when applying a nano coating, so this step should not be skipped if you want to achieve the best possible result.

Step 2 – Protect Surrounding Areas

Cover any surfaces that are not being treated, such as glass, window and door frames, adjacent paving, plants and other sensitive surfaces, with suitable protective sheeting.

Step 3 – Allow the Surface to Dry

Make sure the substrate is completely clean and dry before applying the coating.

Step 4 – Prepare the Coating

Important: Shake or stir NC Nano Coating for Stone, Concrete & Tile thoroughly before use.

When applying with a roller or brush, pour the required amount into a suitable paint tray or container.

Step 5 – Apply the Nano Coating

Apply NC Nano Coating for Stone, Concrete & Tile undiluted using the supplied trigger sprayer, a suitable low-pressure sprayer, roller or masonry brush.

Work carefully from the bottom upwards.

Where necessary, apply a second coat wet-on-wet until the porous substrate is evenly and fully saturated with the nano coating. Avoid allowing excess product to pool on the surface.

Step 6 – Remove Excess Product and Allow to Cure

Remove any spills or excess coating as quickly as possible using a damp cloth.

The treated surface will normally be:

• Touch dry: within 10–20 minutes

• Dry: after approx. 1–1.5 hours

• Fully cured: after approx. 8 hours
